g Various record indicates James was literate.
g In 1748, James signed the Bishop’s Transcripts as a church warden.
g Most of James and Johannah’s children were born in the parishes of Wicken and Helmdon.
g In summer of 1758, the married couple are residing in Helmdon Parish.
