Interesting facts
g Living in Cosgrave (aka Cosgrove) before his marriage to Johannah
g To marry Johannah, James and Johannah’s brother, Thomas, posted a 100-pound bond (13,453 pounds in 2007’s value). The bond states that James and Johannah must be married at either in All Saints Northampton town or in Kislingbury, and if the marriage did not take place, they lost the money.
g Various record indicates James was literate.
g In 1748, James signed the Bishop’s Transcripts as a church warden.
g Most of James and Johannah’s children were born in the parishes of Wicken and Helmdon.
g In summer of 1758, the married couple are residing in Helmdon Parish.

Speculation: Either Dec. 25, 1783, or Nov. 1, 1786, in Simpson, Buckinghamshire, England
