g The 1860 U.S. Census lists Alexander as a farmer with personal property valued at $300 residing in Rochester, Beaver Co., Pa. Living in his houshold are: Alex Scott, age 48; Cath Scott, 31; James Scott, 6; Mary Scott, 3; Amelia Scott, 1.
g The 1870 U.S. Census lists Alexander as a day laborer with personal property valued at $100. It spells his name as "Allexander" and wife's name as "Catharine"; the census lists their home as North Sewickley, Beaver County, Penn., with New Galilee as the post office. Residing in Alexander's home are: Catharine Scott, age 42; Mary E Scott, 13; Amelia Scott, 11; Minerva Scott, 8; Eva Jane Scott, 5; George Scott, 3.
g Alexander and his wife disappear from the U.S. Census records in 1880. That year's census, however, shows his youngest son, George, age 13, living in Wisconsin with the Butler family.
